Ashish Nehra will continue as the head coach of Gujarat Titans for the IPL 2025 season, despite rumours of a potential shake-up.
Rumors of a major shake-up in the Gujarat Titans camp ahead of the IPL 2025 season have been put to rest. Ashish Nehra, one of the key builders of the team’s success, will continue to lead the coaching staff for the upcoming season.
Speculations about Nehra’s departure gained traction amid talks of a change in ownership for the franchise. Torrent Pharma, an Ahmedabad-based company, was rumoured to be acquiring a controlling stake, leading to expectations of a complete overhaul of the coaching staff. However, according to Cricbuzz, Nehra’s decision to stay has seemingly avoided fears of a drastic shake-up.
Vikram Solanki, another integral part of the coaching team, will also continue his role. This means that the core coaching unit, which includes Aashish Kapoor, Mithun Manhas, Narendra Negi, Naeem Amin, and Sandeep Raju, will largely remain intact.

While the coaching staff will largely remain unchanged, there will be a notable absence. Gary Kirsten, who served as the batting coach and mentor for three seasons, has left the Titans to join Pakistan’s white-ball cricket team.
Nehra’s Milestones With Gujarat Titans
Nehra and Solanki have played a pivotal role in Gujarat Titans’ success. They joined the franchise in IPL 2022 and guided the team to a historic title in their debut season. The Titans continued their impressive run in IPL 2023, reaching the final but falling short against Chennai Super Kings. With Nehra and Solanki at the helm, Gujarat Titans will be aiming to reclaim the IPL title in 2025.
