
The ICC announced the Player of the Month nominees for August, with Siraj, Henry, and Seales in the men’s list and Muneeba, Prendergast, and Zwilling in the women’s list.
The ICC revealed the Player of the Month nominees for August 2025. Fast bowlers Matt Henry, Jayden Seales, and Mohammed Siraj are in the men’s shortlist. Siraj earned recognition after his match-winning performance on the final day of the Test series against England at The Oval, helping India secure a a win.
Henry impressed with outstanding bowling in Zimbabwe, where he led New Zealand to a 2-0 series win with match hauls of nine for 90 and seven for 56. Seales also made his mark by claiming 10 wickets in three ODIs against Pakistan at home. His best figures came in the final match, where he took six for 18 and led his team to a historic 202-run win.

In the women’s category, Muneeba Ali, Orla Prendergast, and Iris Zwilling made the list. Muneeba scored a match-winning century against Ireland, helping Pakistan secure an eight-wicket win in the series’ third game. She scored 132 runs in three matches with an average of 66. Orla Prendergast played a key role in Ireland’s series win over Pakistan, scoring 144 runs and taking four wickets. She continued her form in the Europe Qualifier, finishing the month with 244 runs at an average of 48.80 and seven wickets. Iris Zwilling excelled in the Europe Qualifier, claiming 10 wickets in six matches at an average of 10.70 and an economy rate of 4.65, including multiple three-wicket hauls against Germany and Italy.
