BCCI and CSA have officially announced the highly anticipated schedule for India’s upcoming tour of South Africa.
Taking place in December and January, the tour will kick off with an exhilarating three-match T20I series, followed by an intense three-match ODI series.
The grand finale will witness the iconic Freedom Series, a thrilling clash for the prestigious Gandhi-Mandela Trophy, featuring two captivating Test matches.
Mr. Jay Shah, the Honorary Secretary of BCCI, expressed his enthusiasm for the forthcoming Indian team’s tour of South Africa, emphasizing the significance of the Freedom Series in honoring Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela. He stated, “The Boxing Day Test and the New Year Test are amongst the most important fixtures on the international cricket calendar, and the schedule has been planned particularly around these marquee dates.”
Reflecting on the tour, the CSA Chairperson Mr. Lawson Naidoo revealed his pleasure in having a full tour encompassing all three formats, highlighting the exceptional talent possessed by both South Africa and India.
