IPL 2025 Retention Rules to be Announced Soon
The BCCI is also set to announce the retention policy for IPL 2025. As per Cricbuzz, the IPL Governing Council is expected to meet on Saturday (September 28) in Bengaluru to finalize and reveal the retention rules within the next 24 hours. The meeting is planned for 11:30 AM at the Four Seasons Hotel, where key discussions on retentions and other major points related to the upcoming season will take place.
Though the exact number of player retentions allowed per team is yet to be confirmed, reports suggest it could range between two and eight players. Speculation is growing that the BCCI may settle on allowing 5-6 retentions per team, with the Right to Match (RTM) option likely to be included.
