BCCI announced salary hikes for IPL 2024, recognising the young talents who were effective and impactful in both domestic and international matches.

In the wake of salary hikes and fee surges for Indian players, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) decided to increase the salaries of several IPL players for the 2024 season. The list of players receiving a boost included Rinku Singh, Jitesh Sharma, Sai Sudarshan, and Rajat Patidar. These young talents have impressed in both domestic and international cricket.

Sai Sudarshan, who recently made a stellar debut for India in an ODI against South Africa, received a hike of Rs 30 lakh, increasing his salary from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 50 lakh. This significant increment acknowledged his potential as an opener and his consistent performances for the Gujarat Titans franchise.

Jitesh Sharma, known for his explosive batting style, has also secured a raise, with his salary rising from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 50 lakh. This reward reflected his valuable role as a wicketkeeper-batter in the T20 format for India.

Rinku Singh, now a familiar name across India, impressed with his batting displays in the 2023 IPL season. Singh’s earnings too climbed from Rs 55 lakh to Rs 1 crore, recognising his consistent performances in the T20 format.

Lastly, Rajat Patidar, despite facing injury setbacks after a successful season with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in 2022, received a significant raise, with his salary going from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 50 lakh.
