Ahead of the second Test against Bangladesh in Kanpur, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja brought some light-hearted fun by imitating Jasprit Bumrah’s bowling action. The toss was delayed due to a wet outfield, allowing Kohli and Jadeja to copy their teammate’s unique style.
Kohli and Jadeja not only mimicked his delivery but also his routine of walking back to his bowling mark. Their gestures caught the attention of assistant coach Ryan Ten Doeschate, who was seen smiling at the duo’s antics.

On the match front, Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to field first once the conditions became favorable. Pacer Akash Deep justified the decision with a fiery opening spell, dismissing openers Shadman Islam and Zakir Hasan in quick succession. Both batters had initially resisted the pressure from Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj. However, Akash’s three-over burst broke Bangladesh’s early defense.
Bumrah and Siraj maintained control over Bangladesh’s top order, preventing them from scoring freely. India dominated the first session on Day 1, with the pacers constantly challenging Bangladesh’s batters. By the end of the day, Bangladesh had reached 107/3 at stumps.
