Cameron Green, who has been teammates with both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, expressed his awe at playing alongside two cricket legends.
Playing alongside Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli is a dream for many cricketers, given their iconic status in Indian cricket. Australian all-rounder Cameron Green, now with RCB in IPL 2024, feels privileged to share the field with these legends.
Having previously played under Rohit Sharma at Mumbai Indians, Green highlighted the invaluable experience of learning from two batting maestros. He emphasized the honor of being mentored by such cricketing icons and drew parallels between their approaches to the game.
“They are both greats in the game. Every time I think about it, I’m still pinching myself that I’ve been lucky enough to play with two of the greats of world cricket, if not Indian cricket,” Green said during a press conference organized by RCB.
“What makes them great is that they are both similar. They are equally happy to help the team. They will give their time and share their experiences in what has worked and what has not. I am happy to share the dressing room with them,” he added.
Cameron Green also commended RCB for their support in maintaining his optimal fitness during the tournament. Adapting to his dietary needs, particularly challenging in India due to limited options, he collaborated closely with the RCB’s chefs to tailor his meals. He expressed gratitude for the franchise’s exceptional care, and approach.
“RCB people have been unreal in helping me. I have got in contact with the chefs here and have got my special diet, talking directly to them and asking them exactly what I need. So yeah, I’ve had a great experience here so far. Absolutely love the franchise as they’re looking after me beautifully. It’s been a great few weeks in India,” Green said.
In addition to his cricketing duties, the all-rounder actively advocates for chronic kidney disease awareness. Recently, he visited the Bangalore Kidney Foundation to advance his cause in the city. As for RCB’s next match in IPL 2024, it’s scheduled to take place at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Tuesday.
