Despite being taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital by ambulance on January 19, he didn’t spend the night there and is reportedly back in training for the West Indies T20Is scheduled for next month.
Cricket Australia (CA) is aware of the situation and has initiated an investigation, although CA denies Maxwell’s exclusion from the ODI series squad was related to this incident, clarifying that he was initially part of the 13-man squad before the developments.
Over the past two years, Glenn Maxwell has faced unusual incidents, including injuring his leg at a birthday party and suffering a concussion after falling from a golf cart during the 2023 ODI World Cup. Despite these setbacks, he made a remarkable comeback with a double-century against Afghanistan.
