BCCI confirmed a contract extension for India’s head coach Rahul Dravid and the support staff, ensuring continuity after the culmination of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed the extension of contracts for India’s coaching staff, retaining Rahul Dravid as head coach alongside other key members, such as batting coach Vikram Rathour, bowling coach Paras Mhambrey, and fielding coach T Dilip. While the contract’s duration remains unspecified, indications suggest Dravid will likely continue until at least the T20 World Cup 2024.
Following the conclusion of the World Cup 2023, the BCCI engaged in constructive talks with Rahul Dravid regarding his contract extension, unanimously deciding to prolong his tenure as India’s head coach. Dravid’s upcoming commitments include India’s tour of South Africa, encompassing three T20Is and three ODIs, succeeded by two Tests starting in December.
