CSA and BCCI Announce Exciting Four-Match T20I Series in South Africa

Cricket South Africa and the BCCI have announced a four-match KFC T20I series, where India will play against South Africa from November 8 to November 15, 2024.

India is gearing up for an extensive cricket season with an announcement by Cricket South Africa and BCCI on June 21 confirming that the Indian team will tour South Africa in November 2024 for a four-match T20I series. The series is scheduled to start on November 8 at Kingsmead Durban and will end on November 15.

“Cricket South Africa (CSA) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) are delighted to confirm the scheduling of yet another thrilling KFC T20 International (T20I) series, which will see India traveling to South Africa in November 2024,” the official statement read.

“The KFC T20I Series will consist of four matches beginning on Friday 8 November at Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium in Durban. The next match is scheduled to take place in the friendly city of Gqeberha on Sunday 10 November at Dafabet St George’s Park. The series then moves to the highveld, with SuperSport Park hosting a match on Wednesday 13 November, and DP World Wanderers Stadium hosting the final match of the series on Friday, 15 November. Tickets go on sale on 19 August,” it added.

This announcement closely follows the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) revealing India’s home schedule for the 2024-25 season on June 20. According to the BCCI’s announcement, India will be hosting Bangladesh for a Test and T20I series, facing New Zealand in a Test series, and welcoming England for both ODI and T20I series next year.

Last year, India toured South Africa and competed in a Test, ODI, and T20I series. India won the ODI series 2-1, while the Test and T20I series ended in a 1-1 draw.
