Delhi needed 12 to win, and their reply was swift and decisive. KL Rahul smashed a four on the first ball, followed by a six from Stubbs on the next delivery. Earlier in the match, Delhi posted 188/6 with impactful cameos from Axar Patel (34 off 14) and Stubbs (34* off 18), while Rajasthan’s reply was anchored by half-centuries from Yashasvi Jaiswal (51) and Nitish Rana (51), but ultimately fell just short – until the Super Over heartbreak. With this win, Delhi not only adds two crucial points to their tally but also boosts morale, with Starc’s death-over heroics hailed across the cricketing world as one of the finest final over displays in IPL history.
