The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the confirmed schedule for the Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, heralding the return of cricketing excitement. India, alongside arch-rivals Pakistan, Ireland, the USA, and Canada, forms Group A. England and Australia headline Group B, joined by Namibia, Scotland, and Oman. New Zealand finds themselves in Group C with the West Indies, Afghanistan, Uganda, and Papua New Guinea. Group D sees South Africa paired with Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, the Netherlands, and Nepal.
Set across three American and six Caribbean venues, this ninth edition boasts 55 matches across nine venues. The standout fixture between India and Pakistan is slated for June 9 at the newly constructed Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in Long Island.
The T20 World Cup 2024 kickstarts with USA vs Canada on June 1, concluding with the final in Barbados on June 29. India, scheduled to play all their group matches in the USA, launches against Ireland on June 5 in New York.
This edition introduces a 20-team format, dividing them into four groups of five. The top two from each group progress to the Super Eight phase, forming two groups of four. Following that, the top two from these groups proceed to the semi-finals, setting the stage for the ultimate clash on June 29.
