Gujarat Titans signed fast bowler Gurnoor Brar as a replacement for Sushant Mishra for the remaining IPL season.
The Gujarat Titans have strengthened their bowling attack by signing fast bowler Gurnoor Brar as a replacement for left-arm pacer Sushant Mishra for the rest of the IPL 2024 season. The official IPL release confirmed that Brar was acquired for his base price of Rs 20 lakh. However, the reason behind Mishra’s replacement for the remaining matches remains undisclosed by the Titans.

Though GT has only two matches left for the tournament, Gurnoor’s addition significantly strengthened the bowling squad despite Sushant Mishra’s absence. With their playoff hopes alive, GT might use Gurnoor wisely to increase their chances.

The 23-year-old Brar is an emerging talent from Punjab’s domestic circuit. He has experience in first-class cricket, having played five matches and one List-A match. Brar also made a single appearance for the Punjab Kings in the IPL 2023.
Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans Captain Shubman Gill smashed a brilliant century in the match against CSK on May 10th, while Sai Sudharsan chipped in with his maiden IPL century, guiding their team to a crucial 35-run win against the Chennai Super Kings. The win against CSK keeps the Titans’ playoff hopes alive. They will next face KKR on May 13th at Narendra Modi Stadium.
