Young wicketkeeper-batter Robin Minz met with an accident while riding his Kawasaki bike and suffered injuries on March 2nd.
Gujarat Titans’ wicketkeeper-batter Robin Minz met with an unfortunate incident on Saturday, March 2. He was involved in a motorbike accident and is currently under observation. The 21-year-old was reportedly riding his Kawasaki superbike when a collision with another vehicle caused him to lose control.
Reports indicate that the front half of the superbike sustained severe damage during the collision, and Robin suffered some bruises on his right knee. According to Robin’s father, Francis Minz, who currently works as a security guard at Ranchi airport, he suffered minor injuries.
“He lost control when his bike came in contact with another bike. Nothing serious at the moment and he is currently under observation”, confirmed Francis to News18.
The Shimal born recently returned home after scoring a brilliant 137 in the Col CK Nayudu Trophy quarter-final for Jharkhand and was all set to make his debut for GT this year.
The young batter’s idol, MS Dhoni, appreciated him in December last year as the latter had told him, as stated by ESPNCricinfo, “If no one picks him, we will.”
The Jharkhand cricketer was bought by Gujarat Titans this IPL season for Rs 3.6 crore. However, this unfortunate incident might delay his joining the pre-season camp. It’s now just a matter of time to see if he can recover quickly enough to join the GT team for his IPL debut.
