The BCCI announced a 15-member India A squad to play two multi-day matches against Australia A in Lucknow. The series starts on September 16. Shreyas Iyer will captain the side, with wicketkeeper-batter Dhruv Jurel as his deputy. The squad includes Sai Sudharsan, Nitish Kumar Reddy, and Prasidh Krishna, who played in India’s recent Test series in England.
KL Rahul and Mohammed Siraj will join the squad for the second match, replacing two players after the first game. The second match is set to begin on September 23.

The series offers a chance for players like Abhimanyu Easwaran, Tanush Kotian, and N. Jagadeesan to prove themselves and aim for Test selection. Devdutt Padikkal will also look to make a comeback after last playing a Test in Australia last year. The matches will be followed by three one-day games in Kanpur starting September 30.
