The Indian Women’s Cricket team is geared up for a thrilling series against Bangladesh’s women’s team, with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) unveiling the squad for the T20I and ODI series.
The selectors have opted for a fresh line-up, excluding right-arm pacers Renuka Singh and Richa Singh, along with off-spinner Shreyanka Patel.
The team will be led by the dynamic Harmanpreet Kaur, with Smriti Mandhana serving as her deputy in both formats. Yastika Bhatia, who showcased her skills in the WPL while playing for the Mumbai Indians, will be donning the wicket-keeping gloves.
Minnu Mani, who recently played for Delhi Capitals in the WPL, has earned a spot in the squad for her impressive performances. Joining her are Anusha Bareddy and Rashi Kanojiya. Returning to the national team, Monica Patel and Priya Punia have been recalled after their previous participation in a series against South Africa in 2021.
In a contrasting decision, Sneh Rana, who stepped in for Pooja Vastrakar during the T20 World Cup, has been excluded from the T20I squad but will continue to be a part of the ODI team.
Mark your calendars for an action-packed series as India takes on Bangladesh in a three-match T20I series starting July 9, followed by three ODIs, ending on July 22.
