As per reports, India will most likely host the Men’s Asia Cup 2025, as seen in the EOI released by the Asian Cricket Council.
India is set to host the next Asia Cup in 2025, while Bangladesh will take over the hosting duties for the 2027 edition, which will be played in the 50-over format. This information was revealed in an Invitation for Expressions of Interest (EOI) document released by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) for sponsorship rights from 2024 to 2027.
While the ACC has indicated India and Bangladesh as the hosts for the next two Asia Cups, the document also clarified that schedules, dates, formats, and venues are subject to change.
The 2023 edition of the tournament, originally scheduled for Pakistan, was shifted to Sri Lanka due to political tensions between India and Pakistan. India emerged as champions, defeating Sri Lanka convincingly in the final.

Meanwhile, India is currently under the leadership of new head coach Gautam Gambhir, who has replaced Rahul Dravid. Suryakumar Yadav has taken over the captaincy from Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya and has set off for a flying start with two consecutive dominant victories over Sri Lanka, pitching an aggressive brand of cricket under the new mentor and leadership.
Before the Asia Cup, there will be the Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan, which has been the centre of controversy for more than a month now because India is not willing to travel there. Though the ICC has been trying to resolve the matter, no final conclusion can be drawn yet regarding India’s participation in the tournament due to the political tension between the two countries.
