Indian cricket stars Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, along with promising talent Yashasvi Jaiswal, have touched down in the beautiful West Indies for the much-anticipated two-match Test series commencing on July 12. Adding to the excitement, a bunch of key players, including Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Shardul Thakur, had already arrived in Barbados earlier on Saturday.
The BCCI recently dropped a video that had us grinning ear to ear, as the Indian team showcased their mad volleyball skills. And guess who turned into a mini-director? Ishan Kishan, capturing all the fun on camera! But that’s not all – he’s also seen playing coach, pumping up the team with his motivational talks.
Revealing an insider’s scoop, Sohan Desai, the strength and condition coach of Team India, disclosed that the players are granted a much-needed break before plunging into rigorous fieldwork.
In preparation for the highly anticipated India vs West Indies 1st Test, the Indian team has planned an intensive 10-day training camp. Additionally, the team is likely to engage in a couple of practice games to further acclimatize themselves to the conditions and fine-tune their game plans.
Meanwhile, West Indies are gearing up for their clash against the Indian team at the High-Performance Centre located at Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua. Recent times have been a bit challenging for the West Indies as they faced the disappointment of being eliminated from the World Cup qualifiers during their stint in Zimbabwe. Unfortunately, this marked the end of their ODI World Cup 2023 journey in India. However, they will be determined to put their best foot forward and showcase their prowess in the upcoming Test series against India.
Get ready folks, as the Indian team gears up before their epic showdown. The countdown is on!
