India’s white-ball tour of Bangladesh, originally set for August 2025, has been officially postponed to September 2026. The decision was taken after mutual discussions between the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), considering the packed international calendar and logistical factors.
“The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have mutually agreed to defer the white-ball series, three ODIs and three Twenty20 Internationals, between Bangladesh and India in August 2025 to September 2026,” BCCI’s media advisory read.

The tour includes three One-Day Internationals and three T20 Internationals. Both boards agreed that rescheduling the series would be in the best interest of players and organizers, allowing proper preparation and avoiding fixture congestion.
The BCB has confirmed that updated dates and fixtures for the rescheduled series will be released at a later stage.
Earlier reports had indicated that India’s white-ball tour of Bangladesh was likely to be suspended. The political crisis following the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government has created instability, triggering one of the region’s most serious diplomatic standoffs in recent years.
