IPL 2025 Mega Auction Marquee Players, Set 1
The first set of marquee players has been sold to their respective franchises as Rishabh Pant became the most expensive player ever-bought in the IPL.
Arshdeep Singh got the bidding war rolling with several franchises jumping to grab the star Indian pacer. However, Punjab Kings used their RTM (Right To Match) Card to repurchase the ace pacer for INR 18 Crore.
Kagiso Rabada, another pacer from the Punjab Kings was however, not repurchased by his former team as the player gets sold to Gujarat Titans for INR 10.75 crore after a solid tussle with the Rajasthan Royals.
Shreyas Iyer became the second-highest bidded captains in IPL along with being the second most expensive player so far with bidding war between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings smashing the bids against each other. The ex-KKR captain was sold to Punjab Kings for INR 26.75 crore.
Next, Jos Buttler was up for the grabs with Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants fighting it out in the bidding arena. The destructive batter was however sold to the Titans for INR 15.75 crore.
Mitchell Starc, the star pacer for Australia was sold to Delhi Capitals for INR 11.75 crore after a tight clash between Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

The star player of the marquee set, Rishabh Pant was moving over the franchise table tops at a high pace as Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants took over with the highest bids. However, LSG had the last laugh roping him Pant for INR 27 crore, making him the most expensive player of the IPL till date.
