IPL 2025 Mega Auction, Set 3
In the third set of IPL mega auction, capped batters has been sold to their respective franchises, with Devdutt Padikkal and David Warner remaining unsold in Phase 1.
The very first capped batter to go up in the bidding table was harry Brook. The English batter was fought for a hard battle between Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings but was ultimately bagged by the Delhi Capitals for INR 6.25 Crore.
The young talent Devdutt Padikkal unfortunately remained unsold at Phase 1. Aiden Markram was bought by the Lucknow Super Giants at the base price of INR 2 crore with no teams going into the bidding war with LSG.
Devon Conway was fought for by CSK, his former team, with Punjab Kings for some rapid bid-offs. Ultimately, CSK roped the New Zealand batter for INR 6.25 crore. Rahul Tripathi’s bid was fought by CSK and KKR which saw the ultimate price as INR 3.40 crore that CSK paid from their kitty to rope the talented Indian batter in.

Unfortunately the veteran Australian batter David Warner remained unsold in the phase 1 of IPL mega auction 2025. Explosive young Australian batter Jake Fraser-McGurk was dropped in the bidding war with Delhi capitals and Punjab Kings where the former team used RTM card to repurchase McGurk for INR 9 crore.
