IPL 2025 Mega Auction, Set 5
In the third set of IPL mega auction, the capped wicketkeeper-batters were sold to their respective franchises where Jonny Bairstow went unsold.
Quinton de Kock opened the bid for the wicketkeeper-batter category. KKR and Mumbai Indians competed for the Proteas star however, the former bagged him with INR 3.60 crore.
Mumbai Indians and RCB fought well for Phil Salt, however, KKR stepped in mid-way to hike up the opener’s price which was ultimately sold to RCB for a whopping INR 11.50 crore.
Mumbai Indians opened the bid for Ishan Kishan, however, Punjab Kings and the Delhi Capitals fought the bid with the paddle but Sunrisers Hyderabad bagged Ishan Kishan for INR 11.25 crore.

Unfortunately, the English wicketkeeper-batter, Jonny Bairstow went unsold in Phase 1 of the IPL mega auction. Indian wicketkeeper batter Jitesh Sharma was also fought for on the bidding table between LSG and DC and was finally roped in by RCB for INR 11 crore.
