The Set 8 and Set 9 of IPL 2025 mega auction saw a lot of action with franchises fighting over each other to grab the best uncapped batters and uncapped all-rounders.
Nehal Wadhera was fought amongst Chennai Super Kings, Punjab Kings, Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants and was ultimately sold to PBKS for INR 4.20 crore. Atharva Taide was sold to SRH at the base price of INR 30 lakhs. Angkrish Raghuvanshi was fought between CSK and KKR and was ultimately retained by his former team for INR 4.20 crore. Indian batter Karun Nair was sold to DC for INR 50 lakhs.
Abhinav Manohar was fought between CSK, SRH and KKR and was bagged by SRH for INR 3.20 crore. Unfortunately, Anmolpreet Singh and Yash Dhull was sent unsold at the phase 1 of the mega auction.

Set 9 Players Selling Price and Franchises
The uncapped all-rounders were sold in set 9 of IPL mega auction where the bid started with Nishant Sindhu who was bagged by GT at the base price of INR 30 lakhs.
The next player up for the bidding war was Sameer Rizvi who was fought for with the paddle between CSK and the Delhi Capitals. Without any further intervention, DC bagged Rizvi at INR 95 lakhs. Naman Dhir was also opened at the base price of 30 lakhs and was fought between MI, RR and PBKS for a much elevated price and was bagged with RTM for INR 5.25 Crore to MI.
Abdul Samad was also fought between RCB and LSG as the all-rounder got cashed in for LSG at a price of INR 4.20 crore. Harpreet Brar was fought between LSG and PBKS and MI and was bagged by Punjab Kings for INR 1.50 crore. Vijay Shankar was tossed between the mammoths, CSK and GT. The bidding war was ultimately won by CSK as they bagged Shankar for INR 1.20 crore.
Mahipal Lomror became an interesting grab for the franchises as he was fought between RR and GT and was bought by the Gujarat Titans for INR 1.70 crore. Ashutosh Sharma was opened by RCB with INR 30 lakhs and was fought among the Challengers, PBKS, and DC only to be grabbed by the latter for INR 3.80 crore. The last of the set, Utkarsh Singh was unfortunately left unsold at phase 1.
