Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja’s playful exchange, with Kohli jokingly taunting Jadeja during the CSK vs RCB IPL 2024 match, left the fans in stitches.
In the IPL 2024 series opener at the Chepauk stadium on March 22, Chennai Super Kings secured a six-wicket victory over Royal Challengers Bangalore with 8 balls to spare.
During the 11th over of RCB’s innings, as Faf du Plessis chose to bat first, Jadeja received a delivery pushed back by Cameron Green. Known for his quick overs, Jadeja jokingly actioned pass the ball to Kohli before quickly returning to his mark. Kohli, in response, humorously urged Jadeja to let Green catch his breath, saying, “Abey sans to lene de usko (Let him breathe, man).” This light-hearted banter between the duo quickly gained popularity among fans.

On the match front, Chennai started their title defense impressively, securing a solid victory and extending their unbeaten streak at home against Bengaluru in the Indian T20 League to eight matches. Ruturaj Gaikwad and debutant Rachin Ravindra opened the chase for 174 runs, with Gaikwad showing promise despite a short stint at the crease.
Shivam Dube’s impactful innings strengthened Chennai’s momentum, while Ravindra Jadeja’s consistent performance ensured a steady flow of runs. Their unbeaten 66-run partnership sealed Chennai’s victory with eight balls to spare.

In the first innings, despite a shaky beginning, RCB managed to set a competitive target of 173/6. While Mohammed Siraj struggled with accuracy, Yash Dayal’s early dismissal of Gaikwad offered hope. However, Rachin Ravindra’s aggressive approach kept Chennai in command. Bengaluru attempted a resurgence with wickets from Cameron Green and Karn Sharma but failed to contain Dube and Jadeja’s partnership.
