CSK and Rajasthan Royals revived discussions over a potential trade for Sanju Samson, with a top CSK player possibly involved.
Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals have re-established contact over a potential trade for Sanju Samson as reported by Cricbuzz. The discussions have revived ahead of the IPL retention deadline on November 15.
MS Dhoni is actively involved in planning for the next season. He is expected to hold consultations with key franchise personnel before the retention deadline. This includes CEO Kasi Viswanathan, captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, and coach Stephen Fleming. A meeting among them is likely on November 10 and 11.
A final decision will be made then. The franchise will also have clarity on the Samson trade possibility by that time. It would not be a surprise if a top CSK player is included in the deal.

A top CSK player is believed to be part of the proposed trade. The player has been contacted to check if he is comfortable moving to Rajasthan Royals. The situation is expected to become clearer in the next few days.
