After leading RCB to victory, Virat Kohli’s heartwarming celebration over a video call with his family, captured and shared by fans, went viral on social media.
The former skipper of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Virat Kohli, played a match-winning knock of 77 runs against Punjab Kings (PBKS), guiding his team to a thrilling four-wicket victory. After the match ended, the former Indian skipper was seen sharing a video call with his wife, Anushka Sharma, over the phone to cherish the victory.
After his innings, Virat Kohli was spotted engrossed in a video call. Fans on social media, judging by Kohli’s happy demeanour, speculated it was a call with his wife Anushka Sharma and his children. Fans captured glimpses of the call on social media. Watch the video below:
In the match, Kohli’s knock was much-needed in a tricky chase of 177, with other top and middle-order RCB batters struggling. His innings, laced with boundaries in the powerplay and controlled aggression in the middle overs, led the team towards victory.
During the post-match presentation, Virat Kohli elaborated on the value of family time. He cherished the break that he got from cricket to spend quality family time. “We were not in the country, in a place where people were not recognising us. Just time together as a family. I could not have been more grateful to God for the time I spent with my family. When we came back, the voices felt that much louder. I was not used to my name being called so much in those two months, so it hit again. It was beautiful, an amazing experience to be just another person on the road,” said Kohli.
The star batter of RCB will be next seen facing the Kolkata Knight Riders on March 29th in the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium at Bengaluru.
