The BCCI has confirmed that the second Test in Kanpur will proceed as scheduled despite protest threats, with the situation being closely monitored in coordination with local authorities.

The second Test between India and Bangladesh, set to take place at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur, will reportedly proceed as planned despite potential protest threats. The Hindu Mahasabha had raised concerns due to political unrest in Bangladesh, but the BCCI has confirmed there will be no changes to the schedule.

The Indian Cricket Board is closely monitoring the situation and coordinating with local authorities to ensure safety at the venue. Preparations for the match are in full swing, and the stadium is ready to host both teams and spectators. While the threat of protest looms, the BCCI has reassured that the match will go on, with constant updates on security being monitored at Kanpur and other venues.

”Yes, we are monitoring and with the concerned authorities as far as those threats are concerned but we have done everything to hold that match and stadium is ready to welcome our and visitors and said it’s not going anywhere it will be in Kanpur but will keep monitoring the situation not only in Kanpur but also at the other venues,” SportsTak quoted a BCCI source as saying.
