Toss mascot kid Will, who participated in the coin toss during the second T20I between New Zealand and Pakistan, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the New Zealand cricket team.
During the recent second T20I match between New Zealand and Pakistan, young Will had the honor of being the coin toss mascot. Following the game, Will took to expressing his heartfelt gratitude to the New Zealand cricket team. In a touching message, he thanked them for selecting him as the coin toss kid and shared his excitement at the experience. Will also expressed his aspiration to one day don the Blackcaps jersey himself.
“Thank you for picking me to be the coin toss kid at the Blackcaps vs Pakistan game in Seddon Park, Hamilton that was played last night. I really liked it and I and I got most players signatures on my bat I was a little nervous to start with but everyone was nice to me,” the little boy wrote.
“Some day I want to be a Blackcap myself. Thanks for letting me do that last night,” he added.
The Blackcaps also captured memorable moments of Will interacting with players like leg-spinner Ish Sodhi and Daryl Mitchell.
In the match, NZ emerged victorious by 21 runs. The highlight of the game was Finn Allen’s explosive innings, scoring 74 runs off just 41 balls. Partnering with Devon Conway and Kane Williamson, Allen’s aggressive batting laid a solid foundation.
Despite a promising start, Pakistan faltered in the latter half of their innings, eventually being bowled out for 173 runs while chasing a target of 195. Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman’s partnership briefly strengthened Pakistan’s hopes, but the Kiwi bowlers, led by Adam Milne, Ben Sears, and Tim Southee, delivered crucial blows to secure the win.
