Following Mayank Yadav’s injury scare in the match against GT, LSG’s CEO Vinod Bisht shared that the bowler will undergo workload management as a precaution.
Lucknow Super Giants’ (LSG) CEO Vinod Bisht has confirmed that Mayank Yadav will undergo workload management over the coming week as a precautionary measure. This step was taken after Mayank, the emerging fast bowler, left the field after bowling just one over against the Gujarat Titans on Sunday, raising concerns about his fitness.
According to Bisht, the fast bowler experienced soreness in his lower abdominal area, prompting the team to take steps to manage his workload and ensure his well-being. “Mayank felt soreness in the lower abdominal area, and as a precaution, we are managing his work load over the next week. We hope to see him soon in the field,” said Bisht, as quoted by ESPNcricinfo.
During the match against GT, Mayank only bowled one over in the match and interestingly, his pace was noticeably reduced, and he conceded three boundaries in the fourth over of the Titans’ chase.

Following LSG’s victory, Krunal Pandya, who delivered an impressive performance, downplayed concerns about Mayank’s condition. Krunal mentioned that he had a brief chat with Mayank, who appeared to be okay. “I don’t know what is happening, but I did have a brief couple of seconds’ chat [with him]; he seemed okay, which was quite a relief for us,” Krunal told the press.
Meanwhile, LSG currently holds the third position on the points table with three wins from four games. Their next match is against the Delhi Capitals, scheduled to be held in Lucknow on April 12th.
