Nepal recently unveiled their T20 World Cup 2024 squad, showing promising young talent.
Nepal has unveiled its squad for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, with a youthful contingent set to take the field under the leadership of captain Rohit Paudel.
The team selection reflects consistent performances in recent matches, including the ACC Premier Cup in Oman and the ongoing five-match series against a West Indies A side touring Nepal. Paudel himself has been in stellar form, leading by example with a century against the West Indies A team in the first match of the series.
Fresh off his record-tying feat of smashing six sixes in an over against Qatar in April, all-rounder Dipendra Singh Airee adds firepower to the batting lineup. He will be joined by established players like Kushal Bhurtel and Aasif Sheikh.
Young talent is well-represented in the squad, with Gulshan Jha, who also participated in the U19 World Cup earlier this year, and 19-year-old Pratis GC retaining their spots in the senior team.

Sompal Kami, the sole member remaining from the team’s historic T20 World Cup debut in 2014, brings experience to the bowling attack. He is joined by the ever-reliable Karan KC, another senior player providing stability to the young squad. Left-arm orthodox spinner Lalit Rajbanshi is expected to spearhead Nepal’s spin attack.
