Nitish Kumar Reddy earned his maiden ODI cap from Rohit Sharma ahead of India’s series opener against Australia at Optus Stadium, Perth. This marked another memorable moment in the young all-rounder’s career, as he debuted in the 50-over format.
Perth holds special significance for Nitish, who made his Test debut at the same venue in 2024 during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, where Virat Kohli handed him his Test cap. He impressed immediately with a 41 and went on to play all five Tests, including a century at the MCG. Since then, Nitish has featured in four more Tests – two against the West Indies and two during the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy in England.
A day he will never forget! ✨
