Punjab Kings are on the hunt for their first IPL title as they prepare for the mega auction, and to jump on the opportunity, the Preity Zinta co-owned team has released their player retention list and also the set of players they have released ahead of IPL’s mega-auction.
Punjab Kings Retention List:
- Shashank Singh (Rs 5.5 crore)
- Prabhsimran Singh (Rs 4 Crore)

Sam Curran, Harshal Patel, Liam Livingstone, Kagiso Rabada, Shikhar Dhawan, Rilee Rossouw, Jonny Bairstow, Rahul Chahar, Chris Woakes, Arshdeep Singh, Harpreet Brar, Nathan Ellis, Rishi Dhawan, Sikandar Raza, Harpreet Singh, Tanay Thyagarajan, Atharva Taide, Ashutosh Sharma, Vidwath Kaverappa, Vishwanath Singh, Shivam Singh, Prince Choudhary, Jitesh Sharma, Rilee Rossouw.
After retaining only two key players, Punjab Kings will now head into the mega auction with a whopping amount of Rs 110.5 Crores in their purse.

Punjab Kings will now aim to invest heavily and provide new head coach Ricky Ponting with a strong foundation to build a squad capable of securing their first IPL title. Shashank, who impressed with standout performances last season, and Prabhsimran, a consistent opener for the Mohali-based side should prove as key for squad building as they have proven their worth in the previous edition of the IPL.
