Match 61 of IPL 2025 between Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians has been moved from Dharamshala to Ahmedabad due to logistical issues.
The Indian Premier League has moved Match 61 of the 2025 season from Dharamshala to Ahmedabad. The fixture between Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians will now be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday, May 11. Organisers confirmed the venue change due to logistical difficulties.
“TATA IPL Match No. 61 between Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians, originally scheduled to be played in Dharamshala on Sunday, May 11, has been relocated to the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad,” the official release from IPL read.
Despite the shift, the match timing remains unchanged and will start at 3:30 PM IST. Earlier, it was reported that Mumbai Indians’ travel to Dharamshala was put on hold as the IPL considered relocating Match 61. The team was later scheduled to land in Ahmedabad on Thursday evening.
Meanwhile, Punjab Kings, who sit third on the table, have earned 15 points from 11 matches. Mumbai Indians follow closely with 14 points from 12 games. Gujarat Titans, meanwhile, have two home fixtures left—against Lucknow Supergiants on May 14 and Chennai Super Kings on May 18. They will also face Delhi Capitals away on May 11.
