Rajasthan Royals, the IPL’s inaugural champions, have confirmed their key player retentions for the 2025 season. Captained by Sanju Samson, the Royals retained six players for a combined Rs 79 crore. Among these, Samson and opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal stand as the most valuable, each retained at Rs 18 crore. Alongside them, Riyan Parag and Dhruv Jurel were retained for Rs 14 crore each, while Shimron Hetmyer and Sandeep Sharma were kept at Rs 11 crore and Rs 4 crore, respectively.
The Royals, who have been consistently improving since reaching the finals in 2022, secured a top-four finish in 2024. Rahul Dravid has also returned as head coach on a multi-year deal, adding valuable experience to their coaching staff.
