Financial Support Announced by RCB
RCB announced ₹25 lakh financial aid for families of 11 fans who died in the Chinnaswamy stampede during IPL 2025 title celebrations.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) announced on Saturday that they will provide ₹25 lakh each to the families of 11 fans who lost their lives in the tragic stampede outside M Chinnaswamy Stadium during the team’s IPL 2025 title celebrations on June 4.
The unfortunate incident claimed 11 lives and left several others injured when thousands of supporters gathered to celebrate RCB’s maiden IPL title victory. The franchise took to X and Instagram to share the decision, assuring that their support goes beyond financial aid.
“Our hearts broke on June 4, 2025. We lost eleven members of the RCB family. They were part of us. Part of what makes our city, our community & our team unique. Their absence will echo in the memories of each one of us,” the team wrote in their emotional note.
“No amount of support can ever fill the space they’ve left behind. But as a first step, and with the deepest respect, the franchise has extended ₹25 lakh each to their families. Not just as financial aid, but as a promise of compassion, unity, and ongoing care,” the franchise added.

The franchise further announced the launch of RCB CARES, a long-term initiative aimed at honouring the memory of the victims and working for the welfare of fans. “This is also the beginning of RCB CARES: a long-term commitment for meaningful action that begins by honouring their memory. Every step forward will reflect what the fans feel, expect, and deserve,” the post read.
The announcement comes weeks after the franchise ended their 18-year-long wait for an IPL title. In the final played at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, the side defeated Punjab Kings by six runs. Batting first, RCB posted 190/9 in 20 overs, with Punjab restricted to 184/7 despite Shashank Singh’s valiant unbeaten 61 off 30 balls.
Krunal Pandya and Bhuvneshwar Kumar took two wickets each in the final, while Arshdeep Singh and Kyle Jamieson bagged three wickets apiece for Punjab Kings.
