RCB broke their 84-day silence after the Bengaluru stampede by launching ‘RCB Cares’ on social media  to support victims and honor fans.

Nearly three months after the Bengaluru stampede that claimed 11 lives and injured 56 outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Royal Challengers Bengaluru have resumed activity on social media. The tragedy occurred during the franchise’s title-winning celebrations, leading to an investigation ordered by the Karnataka government.

An FIR was filed against RCB, the event organizer, and the Karnataka State Cricket Association for conducting the programme without police clearance and ignoring safety instructions.

On Thursday, the IPL champions announced the launch of ‘RCB Cares’, a new initiative aimed at supporting victims and honoring fans. The campaign was introduced as the franchise’s first public response since the incident. RCB said the platform will serve as a step toward healing, community engagement, and meaningful action. More details are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.

Two days before the Bengaluru stampede, Royal Challengers Bengaluru lifted their first IPL title by defeating Punjab Kings by six runs in Ahmedabad. The celebrations soon turned into tragedy, forcing major changes in the city’s cricket schedule.
Women’s World Cup matches, originally set for M Chinnaswamy Stadium, were shifted to DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. Earlier, the Maharaja Trophy had already been moved to Mysuru after the Karnataka State Cricket Association failed to get police approval. A one-member committee later declared the venue unsafe for large gatherings. Since May 17, Chinnaswamy Stadium has not staged any major cricket.
