Royal Challengers Bengaluru have signed Mayank Agarwal to replace the injured Devdutt Padikkal for the rest of IPL 2025.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru have brought in Mayank Agarwal as a replacement for the injured Devdutt Padikkal for the remainder of IPL 2025. Padikkal suffered a right hamstring injury after playing 10 matches this season, where he scored 247 runs, including two fifties.
“Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have signed Mayank Agarwal as an injury replacement for Devdutt Padikkal for the remainder of TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025,” the official release from IPL read.
Agarwal, an experienced top-order batter, has featured in 127 IPL games and scored 2661 runs, including one century and 13 half-centuries. He joins the Bengaluru-based franchise for INR 1 crore.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru, currently second with 16 points from 11 matches, will face Lucknow Super Giants on May 9 in Lucknow. Their final two league games are at M Chinnaswamy Stadium against Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad as they aim to secure a top-two finish.
