Reports suggest that Jasprit Bumrah, who has participated in four consecutive Tests since December 26, 2023, has been granted the autonomy to decide his participation in the upcoming Rajkot Test.

Since December 26, 2023, Bumrah has been a consistent presence in the Test lineup, having played four consecutive matches.
Amidst widespread speculation about his potential rest for the upcoming third Test in Rajkot, reports from The Indian Express suggest that the team management has given Bumrah the autonomy to decide his participation.
The medical team will furnish a workload management report to the selection committee, which will then determine Bumrah’s inclusion. Despite these considerations, Bumrah will have the final say on whether he wishes to take the field for the crucial Test match.
Bumrah has been the standout performer against England, wreaking havoc with his pace and variations. With an impressive tally of 15 wickets from four innings at an average of 10.66 and an economy rate of 2.76, he has been a constant threat. His remarkable spell of 9/91 in the second Test in Visakhapatnam showcased his prowess, highlighted by a sensational yorker that dismantled Ollie Pope’s stumps.
