In preparation for DC’s upcoming match against RCB in Bengaluru, Rishabh Pant experimented with pace bowling, receiving guidance from Rasikh Salam Dar and sharing videos of his bowling action.
Rishabh Pant’s return to cricket in IPL 2024 after a 14-month hiatus due to a car accident has been remarkable. Excelling as Delhi Capitals’ captain, he’s showcased both his batting and leadership skills. With 413 runs in 12 matches, including three fifties and a blistering strike rate of 156.44, Pant’s form earned him a spot in India’s T20 World Cup 2024 squad.
Ahead of DC’s clash with RCB, Pant surprised fans by trying his hand at pace bowling, receiving tips from Rasikh Salam Dar. DC’s social media handles shared the video of the skipper bowling in the nets.
Earlier, Pant had also shared a photo on social media comparing his bowling action to Irfan Pathan’s, jokingly suggesting himself as a “keeper allrounder.” Pathan responded, humorously noting similarities in their actions and inquiring about Pant’s off-field pace, hinting at starting all-rounder training.

Delhi Capitals’ next match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will be played on May 12, Sunday. In their last game, DC secured a 20-run victory against Rajasthan Royals, positioning themselves at number 5 on the points table.
With matches against Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants ahead, victories in both would propel them to 16 points. While this should improve their playoff chances, it doesn’t guarantee qualification. Though they may still need other results to favor them, maximizing victories in their remaining matches is crucial for their playoff aspirations.
