Gautam Gambhir confirmed that Rohit Sharma would make the final on-field decisions and is the decision maker during India’s Test series against Bangladesh.
India head coach Gautam Gambhir revealed that skipper Rohit Sharma is the decision maker for the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh. Speaking ahead of the series, Gambhir emphasized that while the support staff will provide assistance, it is ultimately the captain who leads the team and has the final say in critical moments.
In what will be Gambhir’s first Test series as India’s head coach, he shared insights into his discussions with Rohit on team strategies. “We’ve had many conversations on how to move forward. It’s always the captain’s team. Rohit will lead on the field, and the support staff, including myself, are there to assist. While we might have disagreements, the captain’s decision will always prevail.” Gambhir said during JioCinema’s “Inside Out.”
