Rohit Sharma Names The Funniest Memeber

Veteran Indian batter Rohit Sharma has revealed who brings the most laughter in the Indian dressing room — and it’s not Virat Kohli. Instead, Rohit picked his longtime opening partner Shikhar Dhawan as the funniest teammate he’s had over the years.
Speaking at a recent event, Rohit said while he shares a good rapport with everyone in the team, Dhawan’s sense of humor stands out. “There isn’t just one person I get along with — I get along with everyone. But for laughter, Shikhar Dhawan is the funniest,” Rohit remarked.
The duo’s bond dates back over a decade. Rohit and Dhawan formed one of India’s most reliable and explosive opening pairs, particularly shining during India’s victorious 2013 ICC Champions Trophy campaign. Their off-field friendship and on-field chemistry have made them fan favorites over the years.

While Dhawan retired from international cricket in 2024 after a steady decline in form — finishing his career with 34 Tests, 167 ODIs, and 68 T20Is — Rohit continues to represent India in the ODI format. His most recent appearance was in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy in the UAE, where he played a pivotal role in India lifting the trophy.
Rohit, who has stepped away from T20Is and Tests, also shared thoughts on how young cricketers approach the game today. “When I started playing, it was all about enjoying the sport. But as you progress through age-group cricket, you begin to understand the importance of preparation and discipline,” he said.
Even as Indian cricket evolves, the camaraderie between players like Rohit and Dhawan reminds fans of the strong bonds that form behind the scenes — and the laughter that keeps the team grounded.
