Sai Sudharsan may miss the second Test at Edgbaston after injuring his shoulder while fielding during his debut match at Headingley.
Sai Sudharsan is likely to miss the second Test at Edgbaston after injuring his shoulder while fielding on Day 5 of the Headingley Test. The debutant, who scored 0 and 30 in his two innings, left the field during England’s chase. Nitish Kumar Reddy replaced him and took a key catch to dismiss Ben Duckett. India eventually lost the match by five wickets as England chased down 371 runs.
According to a RevSportz report, Sudharsan is not fully fit and continues to face discomfort in his shoulder, putting his availability for the next match in serious doubt.

Batting at No.3, Sudharsan fell for a 4-ball duck in the first innings, edging Ben Stokes down the leg side. In the second innings, Sudharsan looked more composed. He walked in at 16/1 and added 66 runs with KL Rahul, scoring 30 off 63 balls with four boundaries before falling to Stokes.
With his fitness now uncertain, India may consider bringing in Karun Nair at No.3 or including Nitish Kumar Reddy an extra all-rounder for the Edgbaston Test.
