Arjun Tendulkar Looks for Fresh Start With LSG
Notably, Shardul Thakurβs return to Mumbai Indians comes after a mixed IPL 2025 season with Lucknow Super Giants. He joined LSG at his base price of INR 2 crore as a replacement for Mohsin Khan after going unsold at the 2025 mega auction. Thakur started strongly with six wickets in his first two matches but later lost momentum, finishing with 13 wickets in ten games at an economy rate of 11.02.
Thakur previously served as a support bowler for the franchise between 2010 and 2012 and recently led Mumbai in domestic cricket.
In a separate decision, Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants reportedly finalised a trade involving Arjun Tendulkar. According to reports from ESPNCricinfo, the left-arm seamer, bought by MI for INR 30 lakh in 2024, will move to LSG in search of more playing time.
