The Star Sports panel of former cricketers, including Brian Lara, Paul Collingwood, Sunil Gavaskar, Matthew Hayden, Chris Morris, and Sreesanth, have shared their predictions for the finalists.
Lara, the West Indian great, and Collingwood, ex-England all-rounder, both believe the West Indies will make it to the final, with Lara tipping India and Collingwood backing England as their opponents. Gavaskar, the Indian legend, and Hayden, Australia’s former opener, are confident in India and Australia reaching the final, mirroring the teams that contested the Cricket World Cup 2023.

Additionally, S. Sreesanth, the former Indian fast bowler known for his heroics against Australia in the 2007 T20 World Cup semi-final, agreed with Hayden’s prediction, recalling his famous dismissal of Hayden. Chris Morris, the ex-South African all-rounder, threw a curveball by backing South Africa alongside India to make it to the final.

Co-hosts West Indies are seen as strong contenders on home soil. India and England are also considered favorites due to their consistent performances in T20 cricket. Australia, with its strong team, is not to be underestimated.
