The Board of Control for Cricket in India has released the schedule for the first two weeks of TATA IPL 2024, running from March 22 to April 7. Over this fortnight, cricket fans can look forward to 21 thrilling matches spread across 10 cities. Each team is slated to play a minimum of three matches and a maximum of five during this period.
The tournament will start with the clash between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chennai. The excitement continues with a double-header weekend, featuring Punjab Kings vs. Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders vs. Sunrisers Hyderabad on Saturday, followed by Rajasthan Royals vs. Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans vs. Mumbai Indians on Sunday.
The Delhi Capitals have opted to play their initial two home matches in Visakhapatnam. They will first take on the Chennai Super Kings on Sunday, March 31st, followed by a match against the Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday, April 3rd, both at the same venue.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) assures close collaboration with government and security bodies to adhere to all necessary protocols during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. Upon announcement of the 18th Lok Sabha election dates, the BCCI will reassess the schedule’s alignment and collaborate with local authorities to finalize the remainder of the season’s fixtures, considering polling dates.
