BCCI has officially released the schedule for TATA Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024. Scheduled from February 23rd to March 17th, 2024, the tournament will unfold in Bengaluru and Delhi.

With five teams, the tournament features 20 league matches and two knockout clashes. Notably, this season opts for single-header matches starting at 7:30 PM IST. Bengaluru will host the initial 11 matches, and Delhi will host the remaining nine league games along with the crucial two Playoff encounters.

The tournament will kick off with a high-voltage clash between defending champions Mumbai Indians and the first season’s runners-up, Delhi Capitals, doubling the thrill. Adding to the excitement, Royal Challengers Bangalore will make their home-ground debut at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on February 24th, facing UP Warriorz. Gujarat Giants will then square off against Mumbai Indians in another riveting encounter.

The Delhi leg begins on March 5th, with Delhi Capitals playing their first game at the Arun Jaitley Stadium against Mumbai Indians. Both Bengaluru and Delhi will host daily matches until the last league game on March 13th.

The team topping the points table after the league stage secures a direct ticket to the final. The Eliminator on March 15th will determine the finalist, who will vie for the trophy against the table-toppers in the ultimate showdown on March 17th.

In the inaugural WPL season, Mumbai Indians, under the leadership of Harmanpreet Kaur, clinched the title by defeating Delhi Capitals by 7 wickets. DC captain Meg Lanning emerged as the tournament’s top run-scorer with 345 runs, while MI’s Hayley Mathews secured the Purple Cap by taking 16 wickets in 10 matches.
