For the highly anticipated World Cup semifinal clash between India and New Zealand on November 15th, the ICC has named Rod Tucker and Richard Illingworth as the on-field umpires.

The ICC has unveiled the match officials for the ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 semifinals, with India facing New Zealand on November 15 at Wankhede Stadium and South Africa taking on Australia at Eden Gardens on November 16th.

Rod Tucker and Richard Illingworth will take the on-field umpire roles in the India vs. New Zealand clash, reminiscent of the 2019 World Cup semifinal where India seeks redemption. Notably, Illingworth was also an on-field umpire in the 2019 encounter.

Marking his 100th ODI, Tucker, who officiated his first ODI in January 2009, is accompanied by third umpire Joel Wilson, fourth umpire Adrian Holdstock, and match referee Andy Pycroft in this significant milestone match.

In the penultimate stage of the World Cup, Richard Kettleborough and Nitin Menon are set to officiate the second semifinal clash between Australia and South Africa. Kettleborough, marking his century of ODIs in this tournament, will join Menon, making his World Cup debut.

Chris Gaffaney takes on the role of third umpire, while Michael Gough acts as the fourth umpire. Javagal Srinath assumes the responsibilities of the match referee.

ICC’s Manager of Umpires and Referees, Sean Easey, extended congratulations to the appointed match officials for the World Cup semifinals. Easey also acknowledged and congratulated Rod Tucker and Richard Kettleborough for their noteworthy milestones achieved during this World Cup, highlighting that such achievements are a testament to their consistent excellence in officiating.
