Suryakumar Yadav, leading India in the T20I series against Australia, emphasized a fearless approach and urged youngsters to do whatever it takes when facing a formidable opponent like Australia.
Ahead of the five-match T20 series against Australia following the 2023 World Cup finals defeat, Suryakumar Yadav, appointed as India’s captain, addressed the media. In response to a query about advice to young players facing Australia, he stressed the significance of the games leading up to the T20 World Cup. SKY conveyed a clear message to the youngsters, urging them to embrace fearlessness and commit to doing everything possible to contribute to the team’s success.
”Just be fearless and do whatever it takes to help the team and they’ve been doing that in the IPL. I have told them only one thing to just enjoy your time in the middle, do the same thing, don’t do anything different at the end of the day,” said Surya.
India’s T20 team includes promising youngsters such as Yashasvi Jaiswal and Tilak Varma set to confront Australia. Suryakumar noted their excellent form from recent domestic cricket participation, relayed by the support staff. Confident in their current state, he stated, “They played a lot of domestic cricket as well recently. So they are in good nick, which I heard from our support staff.”
The inaugural match of the five-game T20I series is slated for November 23, 2023, hosted at the ACA-VDCA International Cricket Stadium situated in Vishakapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
