During the 3rd NZ vs PAK T20I in Dunedin, Babar Azam experienced a tense moment when a powerful six off his bat landed on a spectator’s head. Despite being the lone fighter for Pakistan, Babar’s slow-paced innings didn’t align with the required approach, resulting in the hosts gaining an advantage.
In the 13th over of Pakistan’s chase, Babar executed a strong pull shot off Matt Henry’s delivery. The shot cleared the fence between mid-wicket and square leg but unfortunately struck a man in the crowd who was walking along the fence. The impact caused the man to fall while another spectator secured the ball.
The camera then captured a stunned Babar, with his hand raised over his helmet. Realizing the ball had hit the spectator, he checked from the pitch if all was okay.

Despite Babar Azam’s impressive knock of 57 off 38 balls, Pakistan couldn’t secure a victory as Finn Allen’s explosive century led the hosts to a 3-0 series win with a 45-run victory. Tim Southee’s stellar bowling, claiming 2 wickets for 29 runs, restricted Pakistan to 179/7 in pursuit of the challenging 225-run target.
With the series already decided, the action now shifts to Christchurch for the remaining two T20Is.
