In a heartfelt gesture, the Indian men’s cricket team showed their sportsmanship even after a tough loss against the West Indies in Barbados. Despite the disappointment, Suryakumar Yadav and Virat Kohli made time to meet their fans. The little fan’s day was made when Kohli not only gave her his autograph but also clicked a selfie with her and graciously accepted a bracelet from her.

On Twitter, the official account of the Indian cricket team (BCCI) delighted fans by sharing a heartwarming video.

India had a challenging day on the field as the hosts surprisingly dominated the proceedings. In the first ODI, the Windies displayed improvements in their bowling, restricting India to a mere 181 runs. Ishan Kishan impressed once again with 55 runs, and Shubman Gill contributed with a promising 34. However, after their departure, the batting lineup crumbled, exposing a significant weakness apart from Rohit and Virat.

The absence of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli from the playing XI was clarified by head coach Rahul Dravid, who stated that they aimed to give young players an opportunity ahead of the upcoming ICC ODI World Cup 2023. Dravid emphasized that external criticism doesn’t affect them; their sole focus is on preparing for the crucial tournament scheduled for October and November.
